Commissioned by Ihlrath Onderion, this piece demonstrates the onus that duty places upon us all. First, we hear the Marran Theme, the basis of Master Ihlrath's duty. Then, the foundation of the Jedi Order's teachings add to the burden. We're next treated to the beginnings of the Shadow War, while subtle hints of emotional attachment flirt with us. Next we hear the frustration as those close to him fall to the Dark Side of the Force. Then, in a culminating moment, we hear that theme that has come to be associated with Jedi everywhere, representing his duty to the Force and to himself, which rises above all and, being the most prevalent sound, becomes the biggest burden of all. The piece ends with the conflicting percussion lines fading out, but never really resolving. As Master Ihlrath has said, "Not all stories have a happy ending."
