Representing Ragga Jungle and Dubwise Drum and Bass, Euphonique from Manchester always had a great passion for music, playing instruments and writing songs throughout her teens. In 2006 she got into dance music and DJing, performing on the local free party circuit and experimenting with techno, reggae, house and drum and bass.
Euphonique played her first live Drum & Bass event for Hit & Run in Manchester in 2009 and has gone on to perform all over the country at some of the UK’s biggest Drum and Bass events and after being named runner up in the Skiddle DJ of The Year competition in 2010 she began performing at some of the UKs best dance festivals, including Wickerman Festival, The Dirty Weekender and Creamfields Festival. In May 2012 she headlined her first international event; she now DJs worldwide, making appearances in Finland, Serbia, France and Barcelona, with more overseas bookings in the works this year.
Since beginning her radio career, joining Unity Radio 92.8FM as a weekly specialist presenter in 2009 (#DnBTuesdays). In 2013 she was spotted by West London’s Westside Radio and now hosts a week Friday night Jungle show on the station alongside her label show on Shotta TV every third Thursday monthly.
She released her debut EP on In Da Jungle Recordings in 2011, followed by numerous releases on Jungle Xpeditions throughout 2011/12. Since the launch of her own label in 2013 she has had a number of tracks and remixes out on Sub-Woofah Records that she runs alongside co-director S Man. The label was an expansion of her highly successful UK club night ‘Sub-Woofah’, run up and down the country since 2009. Euphonique’s previous tracks have appeared as featured releases on JunoDownload, reached the Top 40 on Beatport in 2013 and have been used on popular UK TV programmes (including Hollyoaks on Channel 4 in 2012).
