ESKA

Zimbabwe-born and London-raised singer-songwriter ESKA comes from a rich musical background. As a vocalist, writer and arranger ESKA has worked with artists ranging from Zero 7 and The Cinematic Orchestra to Bobby McFerrin and Grace Jones and her contributions are credited on 3 Mercury-nominated albums.

For her debut solo album ‘English Skies’, ESKA chose to work alongside one of her most recent collaborators, artist-producer Matthew Herbert. English Skies reveals ESKA as an outstanding contemporary folk singer-songwriter who’s music, whilst sitting within the English folk tradition, wears the influence of psychedelia, jazz and choral music proudly on its sleeve.

ESKA’s debut album ‘English Skies’ will be released in 2013.
