Aren't all words outspoken? All lyrics written and all songs sung? Aren't all liaisons lived? All experiences loved? And hated? All drafts sketched? All writing illustrated? And all styles defined? The sky is the limit. Not any longer though... The depths of the ocean: just about good enough for a few fat drops of black gold! The peaks of the highest mountain... long taken. The end is neigh... is glinting promisingly on the horizon... and let us hope... for the what comes thereafter... what is underneath... which was missing all those years... the novelty... which always comes after the end!

Time to open up new horizons: Volker Selzner and Patrick Matthes aka Zeromatic, two accomplished electronic music producers and live sessionist who are both playing out for over twelve years now, entered a creative symbiosis based on deep mutual respect and an ancient friendship when they finally decided to join forces in 2009. After an initial harder techno phase in which they toured the clubs solo and as Electrosturm, they eventually morphed into the even more advanced live outfit es_cape. With their latest live project, a celebrated state of es_cape-ism, they are are painting carefully crafted and finely modulated, deep sounding techno soundscapes, chartering exciting and previously unknown musical territories.

Drawing inspiration from their surroundings and their partner's otherness, es_cape freely combine melodic deepness with monotonously pulsing techno straightness – a mix of influences and elements which reverberates the soul of their respective habitats, Cologne/Munich and Frankfurt/Hannover, pushing their artistic endeavors onto even more advanced levels. By fusing their respective styles into an amalgam of digital and analogue abstraction aimed at the dancefloor, the duo which started off as an all-analogue liveact, always create their tracks in gripping live jamming sessions before they capture them with their machines.
