PERSONAL AWARENESS
Spencer continues to ask for help after he has tried to do things for himself. For example, he usually says, "Will you please help me tie my shoes?" During nap he usually talks to one of his animals. He tells them stories and actively involves the animal(s) in them.
Spencer is aware of personal hygiene, and often spends several minutes in front of the mirror washing his hands, face and sometimes he will pretend to brush his teeth.
Spencer will break up his food into tiny pieces before eating. He will ask his peers to pass items at the table by saying "please pass the milk" etc.

EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING
Spencer continues to use his words in conflict situations.
Spencer continues to become engrossed in an activity and needs gentle reminders to move to another activity. For example, when he is drawing and group time is beginning he is given reminders so he will have time to complete a portion of his picture. He often chooses to return to his picture after group time is over.
Spencer has become well aware of situations that can not be changed.

SOCIALIZATION
Spencer spends a lot of time interacting with adults and his peers. He usually tells stories of various adventures and he lets others tell parts of his story. He tells many stories about dinosaurs and Transformers. For example, one day he was talking about certain foods dinosaurs ate. On another occasion, he was describing a Transformers program, and told a group how the Transformer moved and he began moving in the same fashion.
Spencer will ask for things by saying please.

COMMUNICATION
Spencer continues to use complete sentences most of the time. If he stops in the middle of a sentence he says, "but you know what?" and continues on with what he was saying.
Spencer's vocabulary consists of many large words, mainly dinosaur names. He tells many stories to his peers and the adults when we are talking about a specific topic. For example, we discussed water and Spencer began telling a story about a shark. He also draws many pictures that include sharks, tuna fish and people. For example, he drew a picture of a boy taking tickets to enter the beach and a shark chasing a motor boat.
Spencer follows instructions in a careful manner. For example, while playing relay games he was sure to repeat the instructions to make sure he knew what to do. He then followed through and returned to cheer on other members of his team.

COGNITION
Spencer continues to ask for help when there is something he can't do. For example, he was taking off his sheet on his cot and couldn't get a knot untied. After he tried he asked "could you please help me?"
Spencer continues to exchange events. For example, during art he made green goop and he talked about how it looked like slime, but then he said "But you know what? This looks like a monster booger!"
Spencer will work puzzles to match items. He does not classify items by putting them in a pile or stack.
When Spencer completes a task, he gets very excited.

PERCEPTUAL MOTOR
Spencer can successfully manipulate objects in his environment. On one occasion he walked backwards to the sandbox clapping and singing only stopping to observe something under a bench.
Spencer is constantly using his fine motor skills. This is evident by the amount of time he spends at the writing table. He uses various writing instruments.
Spencer is very curious about various things. There was a dead squirrel and he was asking many questions about the animal, "Where did it come from, how did it die?"
