About
The year was 2004 and Ernie Bumps was about to embark on a torrid love affair with the house music scene in Hollywood. Most weekends you could find him at Avalon taking in a wicked set by such early influences as Deep Dish or Steve Lawler. As the years went by, he logged countless hours at the clubs, traveled to Europe to see many of the world’s biggest DJ’s and got deeper and deeper into the scene itself. It wasn’t long before Ernie realized that he wanted to be the one behind the decks. And when he finally got his own equipment in January 2008, the opportunity presented itself for him to discover who he was as an artist. With absolutely no formal training and no musical background whatsoever, Ernie Bumps is a prime example of what can happen when the love for the music is combined with a steadfast work ethic and an unwavering dream.
