this part was so hard to not overplay on flute, but it sounds so good when its played right!

Thank you, Mr. Whitacre, for your obvious appreciation for the euphonium!

I played this euphonium solo as a 10th-grader in an All-Region band. Didn't do it justice, but it's such a beautifully challenging solo.

I love how these chords release and then re-enter. When conducting this piece I find it difficult to allow that final note to end. I don't like saying goodbye.

The suspensions right here are gorgeous -- perfectly placed. This is so well done.

I remember playing this part... and right here was my favorite part of the entire piece. Greatest piece of music I have ever played

I played the euphonium solo for this price, most beautiful solo I've heard for the euphonium

Played this beautiful piece with my fellow alumnus quite a few years back. Great times, fond memories. Was the timpanist.

I really wish my band instructor would have us play it. Ever since I heard my sister play it at Ithaca University 6 or 7 years ago, I've just loved it. It's a beautiful piece.

My best friend plays the oboe, and I can just picture her playing this. It's one of my favorite parts, of my favorite piece of yours.

It's rare that the beginning of a piece defines a piece to me the way this does for me. The swelling power of layering the first few notes of the melody gives me shivers running all up and down my spine and leads perfectly into the theme.
