Eric Eckhart is an American singer-songwriter living in Berlin. In a quarter-life crisis, he left America, his corporate job, possessions, family and friends and moved to Europe to reconnect with his lifelong passion for music.

‘This Is Where It Starts’, was recorded in Berlin in what was former East Germany’s main radio station. It was Produced by Eric Eckhart and Fab Leseure (worked with Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Frames) and features musicians Dave Hingerty (The Frames, The Swell Season, Josh Ritter) and Nina Hynes and was mastered at the Exchange in London by Simon Davey (Björk, Depeche Mode, Amy Winehouse, Moby).

Eric continues to branch out while feeding off his West Virginia roots by blending Americana/Pop with Indie/Rock, all with classic songwriting sensibilities at its heart.

A natural performer, Eric has headlined shows for over 25 years in America, Ireland and Germany and played support for great artists such as Broken Social Scene.
