About
From britrock to electronica: a few words to sum Enzo Canale's path.
Enzo started playing with sounds with an old CasioTone and his father’s Commodore128 synthesizer program, amazed by 80s soundtracks and disco tapes. During the 90s, Enzo was a teenager gigging in a rock band, enjoying the Oasis/Blur/Supergrass' (Mary!) infamous sound. But people change, and young man change even faster, so one day the band split. Was there more time for dreams? Maybe. On a Saturday night the radio played something new, and he was hooked: it was the Daft Punk phenomenon. So the cycle started again: besides engineering studies, he started recording with a sampler and a borrowed Roland Alpha Juno. A couple years passed this way, digging for old stuff and 1 bar loops, before the final drift happened: welcome to Berlin.
A cold night, a young girl and a crazy party in someone’s house in Skalitzer strasse. And it changed everything.
Enzo has been shaping his sound from the original French touch to something new, name it melodic/organic electronica. He's definitely into sound design, and never walks out without his Zoom recorder.
As a dj he’s been playing fierce performances both home and overseas: from Miami WMC to Berlin summer parties in front of the mighty Wall (strange as it may seem...), but despite club activities he loves to stay where it all began, namely in the studio.
From britrock to electronica, he just set out to do what he believes in: quality music.
