As an active campaigner against DJs who write bios about themselves in the third person, Ian has had a complicated relationship with the electronic music community. His scathing attack on egotistical and superficial DJs - entitled "First Person Written in the Third - if I mix it I own it" - was given glowing reviews by the small group of drunk and wigged-out mates whom he assembled at the launch.
