skronk noise reeds viola "singing saw" improvisation feedback
Jules Vasylenko - reeds
David Michael Curry - viola, singing saw, clarinumpet, electronics.
Jules plays an unconventional set of reed instruments and inspired DMC to add a clarinet mouthpiece to a trumpet (clarinumpet), resulting in low drone tones.
Here is the freely improvised result of Jules' & DMC's first experience playing together as a duo.
Live recording by Lou Bunk for Opensound, Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Third Life Studio, Union Square, Somerville, Mass.
Thanks to Opensound, Lou Bunk, Lou Cohen, and Grizzler.
