BENNA is from Munich Germany and has been touring under the Harry Klein Record Label and Management Company, which was founded in 2007 and is currently making waves throughout the underground industry and across Europe.
Benna Schneider is no stranger to underground dance music and for the last decade has been pushing the limits in fine techno, and deeper shades of house.

Benna, it's great to finally catch up with you. I know between both of our schedules it has been quite hectic trying to do so. How has your globetrotting been going? What have you been up to?
Also glad we make it finally. With my other activities, and DJing, weekends it’s a bit difficult sometimes
Yeah, spare time is a luxury within our industry that most of us do not have. I first heard of you from one of the booking agents I have become fond of over the years. She kept going off about Benna with Harry Klein and how I have to check you out. That being said you blew my mind. Where do you draw your inspiration from in order to produce such intense tracks and roller coaster sets? And how did you get involved with Harry Klein?
I love so many kinds of music and I just play what I like. Maybe it's more difficult for me to play a linear set…I should try
I have been a Resident at Harry Klein, from the beginning. I was working as a booker for some years and had some really amazing artists and friends in the roster, so, one day we (me and peter from HK) decided to share forces and founded Harry Klein Booking
I really like what you guys do and the artists you have on your roster are phenomenal. Walk us through your worst event that you've played at. I always hear horror stories from artists who have simple tech riders and they show up to the gig where a shit storm of fucked up and shitty equipment wait. When and where has this happened to you?
Puuuh, difficult question. The worst party is no party, so an empty club is def the worst thing. I also hate to play with fucked up turntables, which became quiet famous these days. I am a music collector and spend Lots of money on records that I don’t want to kill in clubs.
Last summer I was supposed to play at an open air located at a lake... Due to some radical temperature change of 15 degrees they decided to relocate it into a huge, ugly location with a capacity of 2000ppl. There, I had to play a daytime set in front of 30 people. In the end some more people showed up but at the end of the day Nobody got paid, etc. The whole thing was a real nightmare
What’s up with all the non paying gigs lately?! I see shit posted constantly on social network sites blacklisting promoters on their super shady and miss-managed events. I don't want to get too negative though but it’s crazy to see that stuff go down.
Happy smiling People Dancing in Front of you – That’s the best thing! This can happen everywhere on the world in each club. In General I can say that you don’t like huge events so much even if it’s great to play for thousands of people. I prefer a more intimate club atmosphere. I also love outdoor events a lot…but the sound System has to be good of course otherwise I could have my private iPhone rave each day
Lately, I have preferred the more intimate 150 people type gigs. There is something about small rooms that do it for me these days. What’s up with your productions? Is there anything new coming out that we can look forward to?
I have some Tracks finished [I am really Bad with Finishing things] and hope to find the time the next 2 weeks to get my recent one to an end. But there is nothing planned to be released. A friend if mine runs a net-label and was interested into 2 of them so lets see
Well, when you get word on that I will def look out for it. Benna thank you very much for your time and I cannot wait to catch up again.
Thanks to you Dan! Hope we will meet face-to-face one time and say hello to your wife and son.
