About

My current work explores the combination of electronic and acoustic instruments and how they interact with each other. I’m interested in how we perceive everyday sounds and environments and I try to incorporate these into my work in an effort to blur the line between what we call ‘music’ and other sound.

Projects for 2013 include a piece for cellist, Kate Ellis, and a large-scale work for Prima String Quartet. Later this year, I will begin doctoral studies in composition at Princeton University.

I view composition as a musical journey; I take something from every piece I write and in turn, it takes me somewhere new, exciting and unknown.
