We set out together to “research” the process of what it means to engage in conversation about incredibly unique theologies and faith practices. Our process was grueling. We failed in many, many ways but ultimately continued to come back to our chairs. And, along the ride, we audio recorded every moment of our conversations and experience.

The installation is three different chairs, with iPods hanging from above. Each iPod has a different part of our story, creatively put together. One with our prayers and hesitations, another with our confusions, conflicts, and failures; and another with our final emotions, reflections, questions, and grounding quotes.

We invite you, however you may come, to sit in the chair(s) and listen to an unfolding story about the uncomfortable tension of staying in the midst of dissonance, ambivalence and overwhelming desire.
