Orchestral arrangement of Breathlessly from Katawa Shoujo. This is the fixed version, the flute was way too high in the old version.

@demetheus: I use the Edirol Orchestral VST plugin through Cubase. It isn't the best sounding orchestral VST out there, but it's quite compact and cheap/easy to get

So Keth, what program do you use to orchestrate all of this?

@Jonothan Yuan: Hey Jonothan, I tried exporting the sheet music in Cubase and there are some serious issues with the representation of some stuff. However, if you're working in a chamber ensemble they should be able to figure out what is intended, with some struggle ;) If you PM me your email adress, I'll send it to you if you're still interested.

Hi Jonothan, I'll try to export the sheet music from Cubase tomorrow though I can't promise how correct it'll be, since a lot of notes weren't quantized. Also, you'd most likely have to transpose it up, since I exceed the lower range in the 'cellos sometimes for the sake of keeping it in the original key. The bulk of the material can be found in the piano arrangement of this song that you can find on the Katawa Shoujo forums. Thanks!

Hi, did you have sheet music for these arrangements? I would LOVE to play it in a chamber ensemble.

That's great to hear that Josh, thanks! At first I didn't think too much of it, but then I liked it more when I started playing it on piano

This really is beautiful. It was never one of the songs on the OST that stood out to me as much but that's changed since this, I think.

Wow Tuskyraider, thank you! You can download it and use it as you'd like, though know that it's an arrangement from a song from a game soundtrack, Breathlessly from Katawa Shoujo. So as long as you credit them, I'm fine with it. Please send me a message when you're done with the video, I'd like to see it!

This is amazing, I love everything about it. It has sort of inspired me to make a short video based on this song. I hope that's ok if I use this song haha :P

@Emergent: Ah, I see. I did a bit of googling and found the forum post, yeah. Working on a solo guitar version of Painful History for my waifu is going to be fun~

@sine(²): I used the sheet music of the piano arrangement from the original to jot down ideas for counterpoint or instrumentation, but other parts I figured out by ear. There isn't any real benefit to transcribing the original in it's interity for me, since I insert a fair amount of my own material (but hopefully still pretty close to the original, I don't want to go all out). You can find the sheet music of the piano arrangement on the katawa shoujo forums, just search for 'sheet music' and you should be able to find it there somewhere.

@Emergent: The sheet music, yeah. I would actually prefer the original music. Did you transcribe it by ear, or did you get the music from somewhere else?

@sine(²): Thank you! Do you mean the soundfile or the sheet music? You can download the soundfile it with the button with the array on it. For the sheet music I'd have to make some time, but I could definitely transcribe a few select portions, though a lot is very similiar to the sheet music of the original.

I fixed the flute presence in this version, it was way too loud in the previous version, enjoy!
