About

ben carey is a sydney-based musician specialising in the performance of contemporary music. in addition to the performance of 20th and 21st century solo and chamber repertoire for the saxophone, ben works regularly with young composers in premiering new works for the saxophone in a variety of contexts (solo, chamber and mixed works with live electronics), and in parallel is developing techniques and environments in the area of electro-acoustic performance.

in 2010, following his return from 2 years of study in france, ben embarked upon his PhD - he is currently researching and developing interactive music systems and environments.

the sounds found here are a mixture of his work as a performer, improvisor, programmer and composer of electroacoustic music.
