Candy Candy Candy… I can’t let you go

Were you born here in Berlin? If not when did you first came here?

I am born in Flensburg. Do you know where it is? It is the northest city in Germany, next to the
Danish boarder. But I guess most of the men know where it is ;) Cause Flensburg is famous for beer,
sex and of course well known by people with or without driving licence..

I came to this crazy hotspot more than 10 years ago and I still love it! At that time I rent an
apartment in Neukölln. Nobody wanted to live there. People asked me if I am not frightened to walk
through the streets by night. Today it is such a hipster part of Berlin- Unbelievable.

When were your first contacts with the House/Techno scene? Can you tell us a bit about the first
parties you went to, the first dj’s that attracted your attention, the first labels, and the Berlin scene
    at the time?

Do you mean in Berlin or in general? Cause in general I was always interested in techno and house
music. One of my first Clubs was Tunnel in Hamburg. Some of you know that Club maybe. Not the
best club if you compare it with other clubs in this period. But in that time it was great- dark and

And there was this House club at Reeperbahn- I forgot the Name- what a shame! But it was the best
club for house music in Hamburg during that time.

Here in Berlin my first Club was the “old Cookies”. I really loved it there on Tuesdays. This was the
beginning of my “Berlin nightlife career” But the best parties ever were the Beat Street parties! Of
course with Ricardo Villalobos, Cassy and Sammy Dee and and and… The hottest, sweatiest, dirtiest
party in Berlin. Oh I loved them so much!

When did you start djing yourself? If I understood correctly you now promote your own events, can
you tell us a little bit about that? Is there a label project behind it?

Oh I started djing 2005/2006. The time before I never thought about djing. In my opinion all Djs were
Idiots, celebrating themselves and with a huge ego problem: only behind the decks they can attract
women and most of the girls step into that groupie – trap. Today I have my own groupies (laughing)
so you see we are all the same ;)

But the time I did my own parties is over since 2009. My focus now is on productions. In the back I
have Labels like Pentagonik. So we will se what the future brings….

Right… I think that’s about it. Now let’s have a listen to the mix you cooked us!
