@DVS1: Jeez, i think blends are unreal. And an hour like this during or ending a really long `straight techno` set would be the tonic ;))

I like the ELDX podcasts BECAUSE they are different. There are enough podcasts out there that do nothing more then present a normal DJ set. at least the ELDX ones show us a totally different side of the DJ's by letting them play whatever the hell they want.

@irak-li @daso @Phonatic - Thanks all of you for the insightful discussion... ;-) I probably shouldn't even respond, but I will..Here's the thing...If you haven't noticed by now, all of the podcasts for electric deluxe are pretty much supposed to be "out of the norm" of what we as DJ's are known for. Its an unwritten idea behind these EDLX mixes. There are plenty of podcast's all over the place that feature "club" or "event" type sets...But this was a chance to do something different...To pull records from my collection and play them in some cohesive way...Its not meant to be what I do in normal club environments. Would you have been less disappointed if it there was a warning that said...This is random? and not straight forward techno? I'm not siding with any of you, but I would agree with Phonatic with his point about realizing that this part of my past, my influences and my personal collection of music!..If I only played, listened to and enjoyed what you hear me play in the club, I would be the most linear and boring artist out there, this is as much a part of who I am and why you like what I play when its "straight techno"....but to each his own...You can't please everyone all the time! and don't worry, i'm not offended or upset by a negative comment! Thank you everyone for listening to the mix!

@Phonatic: i think what he (irakli) ment is not about the selection of tracks more the flow of the whole mix i like the tracks alot but the mix is more i play my fav tracks today what is ok too but it doesnt really evolve or a tells u a big story so if u expect this u get disappointed if u just want to hear great electro track from dvs1 record shelf u love it

@irak-li: ok, music is a question of taste, i agree. but your argumentation is totally bullshit. How you gonna know if the mix doesn´t represent dvs1?! I think himself knows best what dvs1 represents, or you want to say you know his musical socialisation, his influences, his musical past etc. better? I think you only know what dvs1 is actually playing in famous clubs. I mean, you say "and not because it's (the mix) not techno". This mix is full of techno, but the tracks doesn´t fit in your straitened vision of techno. One tip, throw away your blinders. Cheers
