Electric Assembly have been assaulting the senses of their followers since their creation on Halloween night of 2004. Their sound finds droning guitars, hypnotic drumming, white noise feedback and effect pedal mayhem set against layers of swirling post-country melody and affecting vocals.
The origins of the band date back to the late 90s, when they had a release on Earworm Records with the beautiful, string-laden "A Return To Satisfy (Opium Tears Mix)".
“Eyes On The Wall” was their debut EP on Dream Driven Recordings produced by the band and mastered by Kramer of Galaxie 500 and Shimmy Disc fame.
Tracks on the EP ranged from the structured, shimmering prisms of "Can Care Be Wrong" to the manically drowsy "Pylons".
In July 2009, Electric Assembly released a second EP, “White Splinter”. The handmade EP was limited to 100 physical copies and contained four new recordings including live favourite 'Descent Pattern", the epic "11:43" and the haunting 'Broken".
The band also had the track “Base Station Repeater” released on a CD curated by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank to accompany OMSKBOOK, which commemorates twelve years of the OMSK collective’s art happenings.
