Elbodrop formed in 2008 when two like minds teamed up to combine their talents to establish a new force in the world of Techno and carve their names into history. Their aim to ensure the new name and brand, Elbodrop, becomes synonymous with driving beats, a relentless solid and driving feeling, and an unflinching devotion to Techno.

Since then Chris Gibb and Thomas Back have been taking on bigger challenges, always trying developing their own sound and to stand out from the rest - all the while influenced by all the great electronic music that has come before them.

From the beginning the pair have spent their time playing at club nights in Glasgow and around Scotland, festivals and free parties and keeping touch with the vibrant Scottish underground scene. Their DJ’ing career so far has seen the duo play at a long list of events with names such as: Chris Liberator, Chris Liebing, Cortechs, Drumloch, Eric Sneo, Hefty, Marco Bailey, Pedro Delgado, Space Djz, Sync Therapy, The Advent and Industrialyzer.

2012 has been a big year with over 16 digital and two vinyl releases – an Original and a remix with DJ Rush & Robin Hirte on Truth Tracks.

Elbodrop has seen chart success with Morgan Tomas & Dolby D – Oie (Elbodrop Remix) - Darknet getting to number 2 in the Hard Techno category on Beatport.
