El Ninho is a DJ and Promoter, living in Berlin. Having a wide musical background and a taste for unconventional sounds away from the mainstream, he started DJing in the late 90ies, serving 70ies Funk, Breakbeats and Afrobeat. As a long time admirer of dubby music, he got seriously infected by the Dubstep-virus in 2006 and thus decided to push the sound when it was still on a subcultural level. His DJ-sets mainly focus on Techno-influenced Dubstep and dark and heavy Halfstep and aim to draw the listener into deep bass-meditations.

In 2008 El Ninho started the monthly Bassline Time nights in Göttingen’s Rodeobar, which were very well received and brought guest artists from Berlin to small-town in Mid-Germany. It was also about that time that he founded the collective Dubmarine, which served as a dubby axis between Berlin and Göttingen. The aim of the project has always been to offer its members a platform to promote deep and intelligent Bass-music. He was joined by Tom Battery, INFRA and Spoke shortly thereafter. In 2010 he moved to Berlin, to join his fellow dubby divers to create Berlin’s weekly Dubstep-night
