The Royal Canadian Geographical Society and the National Round Table
on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE) have recently launched "Climate Prosperity," a collaborative project aimed raise awareness about the effects climate change on Canadian communities.
The national education initiative includes a "Degrees of Change"
interactive diagram, feature articles in the current Canadian
Geographic and Geographica magazines as well as resource package to be
distributed to 12,000 middle and secondary schools across Canada.
Unfortunatley, the first comprehensive look at the expected impacts of
climate change on Canada offers substantial and surprising errors.
Climate scientist, Danny Harvey from the University of Toronto discusses how the project misleads the public about the serious threat of climate change.
