Dont be afraid to experiment with some FX on the drums too. If it comes from an FX send you can just apply it to your liking. Multiple drums samples used in each drum kit can give them more depth too, layering snares, kicks, multiple kicks, interesting processing on some of the samples. Try recording simple hits around your house :)
