Hey guys! edibleRed is my musical collective from NYC. We started as a rock band, put out 3 indie records and then "Welcome to My Bad Behavior" on Select Records (famous for Kid N Play and The Jerky Boys!). We were blessed to have a song on MTV "Buzzworthy" and "Sucker Free" on MTV Canada. The band broke up after, but I decided to keep it going as a collective, rather then a band. This way, musicians and collaborators could come in and out of the project at their convenience. You might hear a little bit of schizophrenia here musically. I used to get lectured by industry types about picking a direction and sticking to only that. To that I say...um, I don't want to. Please let me just do what I feel.

A couple years ago, I started flirting with the more electronic side of music. Because my roots are in rock, I honestly can't tell the difference between many of electronic musics sub genres. DOn't know the difference between dubstep and jungle (Sorry purists!). I only know what moves me. To me there is only one kind of music: good! If it is from the heart, I like it. I love the compositional part of electronic music, the ability to create a symphony out of thin air.

Right now, I have a single with the amazing Streetlab. It's a cover of "Blister in the Sun" (We have permission from the Violent Femmes). If you could spin it, share it, tweet it, I would love you forever. I would love to see it be a monster summer jam. I'm currently working on a covers project with DJ's from around the world. If you are a fellow pro level musician/producer, hit me up if you want to collab! I record on Garageband with a Shure 58. Clean and Simple.
