Echo Virus´ real interest in music started around 1993 with radio Laser, a legendary Antwerp-based illegal station that played everything electronic with a beat and featured dj´s like CJ Bolland and The Fly before their major succes.

He started mixing Hardcore(house) in ´96 as a bedroom-DJ under the moniker DJ Bassyard and evolved into techno by 1998. The following 6 years, he played on several small and bigger parties. During that period Echo Virus followed drum & bass from the sidelines.

Over the years techno evolved to something he couldn't identify himself with anymore…
So at the end of 2003 he decided it was time to switch to drum & bass and put those dnb records he had been buying but never played to use!

At the end of 2004 Echo Virus teamed up with Tito to organize an event together. This was a big success so they decided to organize events on a regular basis, Stealth Bombers was born!!
Since 2005 Stealth Bombers is the biggest and longest running independent dnb event in Antwerp, which grows bigger with every edition!

In 2006 EV´s first track got released. This collab with Motion Theory called Lightpipe, received support by some of the biggest names in the d&b scene, like Pendulum, Chase & Status, Baron, … to name a few!! At the end of 2008 Motion Theory & Echo Virus will be releasing the follow up tune Darkpipe as release 1 on Stealth Digital, the brand new mp3 label from EV & Tito.

Depending on the mood, Echo Virus´ style ranges from up-tempo jump-up and techy stuff to dark and raw floorsmashers! You can also find him mixing back to back with Tito on regular occasions...
This combination guarantees dancefloor explosions!!
