You might want to resolve some tension in here...it rises and rises for so long that I want a release of some kind.

love this beginning
-
@Bitbasic: this beginning was written out of spite. i lost a composition contest to someone who describe a technique where they recorded themselves dropping things on a desk and then changed the decay times up and down to create some wild drum patterns. i took my own spin on this technique by also transposing the samples up and down and using random squeaks from my mouth as samples. if i wasn't such a sore loser i probably never would have done it :p

I am not sure if i dig the vocals, do they add more to the sound, they might add to much! i like the track though

Like how you bring the beat in here.

vocal is good, but too dark for the uplifting atmosphere uve created. try bringing it out a bit, so its a vocal part rather than a strange murmur! if you are unconfident about your vocals, vocode them, this track would sound great with a nicely done vocoda. good luck!
-
@Bitbasic: if i end up re-doing this track for my album i may take your advice on this. i'm very unconfident with my singing so the track ended up this way but that was almost 8-9months ago now. unfortunately this may be one of the tracks that never gets re-worked.

old track, some of my first sad attempts at vocals can be heard lightly underneath, though i made sure to make them nearly unrecognizable through reverb and delay.Player ( Demo ) Uploaded by earthrise Start following Send a message on October 15, 2008 00:47

I love this slow build here. My recommendation would be to limit some of the percussion (and this goes for most of what I have heard on this page), it becomes distracting, and not in the cool way of adding too many melodic layers. Most of it sounds almost unnecessary.
- The Observer on October 20, 2008 18:17
@The Observer: @Eartrise Hmm i actually noticed the same sort of stuff I think sometimes you want to do it to complex and overproduced this is not recommended . More is less and ....less is more ;-)

remix of reckoner, originally by radiohead done for the remix contest they held. only sounds used in this track came from the original song, no outside sources what-so-ever.visssss Uploaded by earthrise Start following Send a message on October 11, 2008 20:54
