For release 168 E.F.G. signed up for an EP containing two prog breaks tracks. The title track Distant Shipyard captures a really cool industrial atmopshere. All sorts of steam, sawing, ironcutting and hammering sounds are brought together on top of a raw bassline and crispy breakbeats. A few deep eerie soundlayers are topping it all of.
The first remix if Distant Shipyard comes from Marcin Stępień aka Neptune 505. Marcin delivers a dancefloor friendly version with a crispy 4 to the floor beatstructure. On top he placed the haunting industrialsounds and atmospheric pads and layers and combined it with a driving bassline.
The second remix comes from Depthide aka Maciej Labuda. His downtempo contains a moody atmosphere with a handfull of moviepicture sounds. The whole ambiance in this remix takes you to a foggy forest with elfs and witches and small running waterstreams.
The second original on this EP is called Sewerage. For this track Oleg worked together with Stygian. The original version contains a downtempo beatstructure which has been combined with moody chilling whistle melodies and pads and fresh female vocallines.
The only remix of Sewerage comes from FictiOne aka Piotr Stechnij. Piotr also delivers a dancefloor friendly 4 to the floor version with a growling bassline and crispy percusionlines. It is amazing how Piotr managed to integrate the tiny melodielines and vocalparts of the original track into his remix. Overall his remix is a very interesting and well constructed remake of a not so average original track.
