Dutch sensation Dyro was unavoidable last year with a string of big room releases and remixes leading to a cluster of heavyweight spinners in Hardwell, Laidback Luke, and Dada Life all name checking him as their ‘Breakthrough Artist of 2012’.
Only 20 years old, Dyro already possess anthems such as ‘Top of The World’ ‘Metaphor’ and ‘Raid’ in his musical arsenal and has been personally requested for remix work by industry stars like Example, Katy Perry, Hardwell, Afrojack and Tiesto.
Having spent the last few months on tour trailblazing between continents wooing crowds with his mainroom mission, Dyro has procured a hardened base of fans that have been swarming the dancefloor at each of his shows. This growing adulation of his sound as a DJ and Producer has been the catalyst for his arrival to the SiriusXM, Electric Area network.
Becoming the new guest DJ at Sirius XM’s, Electric Area channel for eight weeks, Dyro launches his very own weekly radio show ‘Dyro presents Daftastic Radio’ which will give music lovers a weekly view on Dyro’s world of music and will be the place to first hear all new Dyro productions, edits and remixes, as well as keep up-to-date on all about Dyro from touring to album releases. The launch of this exclusive one-hour weekly radio show will allow Dyro to explore and showcase his passion for electronic music from around the world.
Keeping things fresh the show will feature a constantly revolving format that will include both studio and live sets from Dyro himself, as well as special playlist features such as ‘Buzz track of the week’, ‘Top Of The World track’ (what track is going sky high this week) and an ‘Out of the box record’ (an out of the ordinary track selected).
Commenting on the new show Dyro said “Since my first release back in 2011 my goal has been to expand my sound to a global audience and further share my passion for this music with other electronic music fans around the world. Launching my own radio show is the natural step in that dream and I’m incredibly excited to have my slot on the mighty SiriusXM to showcase new music from artists and producers I love and respect, as well as play listeners the newest music coming out of my own studio”.
‘Dyro presents Daftastic radio’ starts on Saturday January 5th then broadcasting every Saturday from 12 PM ET (1800 CET) on the SiriusXM network. To tune into the show please check: http://www.siriusxm.com/electricarea
