I need to soften this intro up a big and get it moving more for interest.
Dude, all of your music is tough to describe. That's why we like it. ;D
Like the clicky o-hat - do you use single-hit samples loaded into your drum machine, or does it synthesize the drums itself?
@silverlining: All of the percussions are ROM based samples, so they are basically percussion kits built into the Grooveboxes. In this case I am using samples from both the Command Station and the EMX-1
Lead porta synth is pretty.
If I were you, I would vary the levels a bit more on the hats - they sound a touch robotic.
@silverlining: Note taken. I should also perhaps look at the swing on the track too.
I like how the new lead takes off and does its own thing. The melody is really cool.
Sweet downward sweep thing.
RESONANCE... love love love it.
Again with that melody - it makes the track, IMO.
Nice change-up... way to keep my ears interested.
Liking all the harmonies from countermelodies here.
Reminds me a bit of that old AFX track, Donkey Rhubarb. :)
@hamsteralliance: I am not familiar with that, but I will have to look it up.
Liking the ambient pad...
Cool countermelody.
Oh, now this... whatever it is... this is very cool. I like the variation on the beat, and the blippy synth sounds great here.
That perc is awesome. What kinds of perc is that, anyway? Like what instruments are those sounds samples of?
@silverlining: It is a collection of congas and rims run through an arpegiator and gated.
Just wondering - what is a 'Stickney'?
@silverlining: No idea.
For some reason, the melody here makes me think of 1990s era 16-bit racing videogames.
Dunno why, but I love that clap.
Love the modulation on that riff.
Nice perc in the roll you have going on there.
Loving the funky, funky drummin'.
Just when I started to think, "Man, I sure hope the drumloop starts changing soon", it does. How about that.
I am a sucker for filtered drumwork. ;D
Ooh, a countermelody... I like it. I like the synth, too... nice sound.
I like that whole transition section that I just heard. I like how you dropped one theme and then used another to transfer the track to yet another.
Employing swing on the synths was a good choice (unlike milk).
good track; whimsical but aggressive. nice work.
Possibly could classify this one as Ambient DnB.

Hmm...Think I am going to cut out that bring back of the rolly bassline.
