Have followed the boys since '81 and this is still my favourite. They played it in Brighton on first date of the postponed UK tour in 2012... Still as beautiful and intriguing as ever. Thank you DD :-)

When setting up a Halloween playlist with my 15 year old, I used October as a search parameter. When this kicked out I watched her sit still and just get lost in the music. it was a wonderful moment.

For nearly 30 years, Duran Duran has been my favorite band, and this may well be my all-time favorite track by them. The story of how Nick and Simon put it together literally overnight still amazes me. I've always thought of this song as a sort of precursor to the Arcadia project.

In the mid-'80s, I won a jukebox in a radio station contest. I had *every single one* of DD's singles in there, plus all the singles by the various side projects. The jukebox kept track of the songs it played, and out of the 200 selections, "Secret Oktober" was the most-played song on there, because I listened to it *all the time*. I haven't had the jukebox for years, but I still remember that "Secret Oktober" was selection #233. I also remember going to see DD at the Boston Orpheum when they toured for Medazzaland, and absolutely LOSING MY SH!T when they pulled this one out (albeit in a re-worked version).

I don't know if anyone from the band will actually ever read this, but if so, I want to thank you for 30 years of great music, and for defying expectations, logic and probably even the laws of nature by being better today than ever (seriously, AYNIN is *incredible*). Oh-- and think about putting "Faster Than Light" in your live set one of these days, won't you? lol.
