One of he founding fathers of the new genre Shit music. To celebrate this Fikonskivor (not so) proudly presents "The Ancient Excrement Suite" compiled of a series old, and decidedly even shittier, Drool tracks.
Yezz!
This is pretty intense right here.
@Eugene X: You're right. Alberts forehead is a collaboration between me and Clajs, so its half shit. ;)
@The Observer: Thats kinda were I'm heading here. But I don't think I get it all the way. It would be very interresting to see what u can do wu
@The Observer: U wanna make a re-mix?
@Eugene X: Tack (swedish)! Yez me thinks it landed quite nicely.
@Eugene X: Cheers man! Most of the shit music sounds different. ;)
@Drool machine: Thnx dude! This track is really old (as is all the AES-stuff). "Not over the top" !? ;-) Just plug it into a nice amplifier and scare your neighbours.
It's interresting how u capture the paradoxes in your music. This track is raw and animalistic and at the same time it's precise and clinical as surgical steel. Cool!
I really like how this machine slowly works itself to a place that is simultaneously heavy and soft, organic and mechanical. Great!
Love the aggression from here on! Brilliant track - part movie soundtrack, part C64 game-music. Brings me back... :)
Totally enjoyable! Lovely seveties underground feel with the organs and vocoder. Makes me think of Kraftwerk, Laurie Anderson, and whatnot. 8) "Save to favorites?" Yes.
I can't make any timed comments on this track because I wouldn't know where to begin (there would just be to redicously many of them). I'll have to short it all down to: This song is brilliant and I love just about everything about it! A given favorite.
Nice, intense and psychedelic! I like!
@Simonci_No: Thanx. I'm satisfied with the anxiety-level here. ;-)
AND: Lazy Driftah is actually working on a re-mix wich I believe will have drums. I'm quite curious about the result.
@clajs: Thnx a million! (Blushing ;D) About the non-drummage: Luckily I finished the track quite fast afte I found the harmony. I had some kind of beat on it then, but it sucked so bad I decided to start from scratch. But only after burning a finished copy whith no drumz. From time to time I've tried to add some kind of groove, but I've never found a way to do that without screwing with the "flowing" feel of the harmonies moving in and out. And now I'm kinda glad I didn't...
Brilliant "spanish" claps!
@.:illanoise & Eugene X: Thnx u guys! Especially for withholding the "melo"-prefix. ;D
Mmmmm...them "rocket science stings". ;D
To bad. I really like (almost) the whole package: the cool groove, the smooth string-samples, the nice, soft rap and what not...dude, u even have the f-ing glockenspiel... But then I listened to the lyrics...and that misogynist BS won't fly with me... Is it really necessary?? Damn...
I really like how u blend the fairly obvious with the completely f-ed up here.
Little birdies...fighting in a puddle.
Once...at band camp...I... ;D
Brilliant monologue! Little fluffy clouds! :D
@clajs: Sorry if I was confusing here...the "Camomill"-comment was only about the end of the track...and the "cascade"-comment was about the whole track. ;)
Hehehe... Reminds me of "Camomill". :) Brilliant cascade of assorted madness Clajs!
Nicely scaled down, without losing the overall weirdness of the track!
Almost a bit droolesque this... ;)
Sick!! I love this beat!
@clajs: Thanx! Well I guess its kind of a new path...it actually makes me really happy that u think so...thought of this as the same old in-out-in-out. U know. But I wouldn't call it a dance track...u'd gotta be pretty wasted to be able to dance to this don't u think?
@clajs: Grooveeeee (or somethin')!! ;)
@The Observer: Thank u dude.
@The Observer: I got that much (so thx again)! ;-) I just don't quite understand the "flatiron"-thing.
@The Observer: I'm actually not quite sure I understand what u mean here. But thanx. 8)
@zuur: Impressive pin point! And Thanx!
Yes!! That really hits the spot!
Yeah! Great headnodder with a lot of humor! Love it! :D
Mmmmgoooooooodbasedrumnstuff... :D
Now I finally get it! At first I loved this track up to the "Prince"-sample, wich I couldn't quite understand the point of. But it sure grows on u after a few plays.
