noodling synths, dusty drums, blunted basslines
I like to craft tunes with a boom-bap bottom-end and a melodic electronica-influenced top-end.
something stompy to move the feet, and twisting synths to enchant the mind

thanks HD, I am going for an atmospheric vibe, punctuated by tweaked synth riffs : )
it's great fun to play this live on the hadrware!
@cam stark: don't worry about it!
cheers dude :) that bass synth is a sawtooth waveform with the filter cut-off quite low.
@kurtlorenz: yeah man, the grumpy old theater dudes ;)
thanks dude
this is a lovely song, very calming and peaceful. i like how the melody changes throughout, keeping the listener engaged. great voice, nice and chime-ish... any chance you could enable a download? :)
fantastic track man, i really love those vocal snips and the tribal percussion
you've got a great knack for re-interpreting samples, working them into something new (like on A Sudden Soft Implosion EP)
i'm keen to hear more
i love the Chuck D vox, who'd have thought those rhymes would sound so sick over some tribal prog?!
great tune man
@Dynamic Interplay: hey DI, thanks for listening : ) the progression is CEG, GBD for 3 bars then DFA, FAC for the fourth...maybe made it a bit too tight. i'm still learning my harmonies, so i really appreciate the feedback. peace
i enjoyed this alot, nice solid groove which gets more ethereal with the synths spinning their melody
that's a ripper of a track, i really like the melodies and the way they interact with each other.
great track! i really like the piano part which comes and goes. the bass is really nice, both the sound and rhythm. there's a dark, ominous feel to this...nice and atmospheric
@DInterplay: hey man, thanks for listening : ) Bhajis is an excellent program, I went from using Ableton Live and Reason on my PC to writing practically all my songs in the Palm using Bhajis. being able to render separate instruments and export MIDI means you can integrate it very well with your hardware or DAWs. it's great having a fully featured studio in your pocket, and to be able to compose melodies/tweak synths/program drums/etc while sitting under a tree...
feel free to ask any other questions you may have about it...
this is great Jay, i really like that bass
