Dreadfro aka Malik Deering, is a Funk Guitarist from Los Angeles. Dreadfro credits his uncles, Lonnie Marshall of Weapon of Choice, and Arik Marshall of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Macy Gray fame, as his greatest influences. Malik began studying under Marc Rey Rhythm guitarist of Mandrill for five years. He's played with Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and has recorded with Stone Gossard of Pearl jam. Dreadfro is currently playing lead guitar for the Original Afronauts and promoting his first solo project," Dreadfro Journeys".
