In 1984, I went on TV to support a friend who was finalist in a dance contest. .The program was called: “Generation 80” and presented by Moise Ambroise Gomis .
I said a few words on my “artist” and the presenter offered me a work experience as assistant .I was dealing every week with the post, mailings and guest hospitality.
This platform offered me a massive exposure. I had to scout the country looking for talents to audition before they play on television.
I started helping new artists and book clubs and venues to organize alternative talents events such as a festival in THIES Town Hall in 1986. My proudest achievement is nurturing Daara J
Charities like Amnesty, gave us work on their major events taking place in stadiums .I was now “mister can do-it “and organizations from abroad could call us up for help in paving the way for them before filming or to reach remote offline artists.
In November 2000 I arrived in London for the London City festival as band manager of Ceddo Group. Since, I have settled in UK striving to learning new skills and networking.
Between 2005 and 2008, I studied Music production at Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Morley College. I gained an Access course in Multimedia at Richmond Adult College in 2007.
I started Music recording foundation degree at Deep Recording studio in 2010.
Now I get occasional jobs as DJ, voice over artist or interpreter/ translator.
I have been on Glastonbury 2007 stage through Baba Maal and there I met Chris Blackwell.
This year I was a roadie for Carlou D at Womad 2012.
