Downlow‘d + MAD-SIN is a collaboration between DJ/Producer duo Trent Shamaley and Alex Madsen located out of the southwest United States. Their sound is described as a mishmash of overdriven electro that combines with an inventively exotic form of synth work, while ingeniously incorporating hints of mainstream EDM with classical electronic music genres including (but not limited to) Dutch-House, Deep House, Dubstep, and Drum and Bass- along with more up-and-coming contemporary sub-genres such as Moombahton, Drumstep, Glitch, Trash, and Crunk.
Despite being a young act, D+M have an assortment of releases on Beatport and have worked with a large number of reputable artists, including Haydn Hoffman, DSKOTEK, Sick Boy, Dj DaGo, Nestor Delano & Jay Klos, BlahBlahBlah!!!, Crimen, The Girls Can Hear Us!, Hugs&Drugs, Stereothieves, and many more in the past year alone. They currently have original tracks slated for release on, Macro Records (US), Dirty Fabric (US), Brooklyn Fire (US) [Tommie Sunshine's Label], Hot Small Records (CLB), ROT10 Musik (US), Bonerizing Recordings (SE), Noobish Records (LU), Bad Family Recordings (UAE), and Finger Tache Records (US). Along with original work, the duo has remixed an abundance of tracks. The experimental take on their remix of "If U Want Me" by The Girls Can Hear Us! has been featured on blogs such as Fist In The Air!, Mixcrate, and FANGBANGBOOM, where it has been downloaded numerous times and has received first-rate reviews with comments such as “What starts of as a chill melodic sound soon turns into some pretty ridiculous Dubstep.”-Fist In The Air. The Downlow'd + MAD-SIN remixes of "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine, and "Move Bitch" by Ludacris have also gotten an immense amount of hype via the world wide web. Their collaboration "Back It Up" was released on Finger Tache Records and has gotten significant heat and play in the scene and hit the Electro House Top 100 Chart on Beatport.com
The duo has also received support from world class acts such as: Tommie Sunshine, Lazy Rich, Filthy Rehab, Heavy Duty Brothers, Matt Sayers, Larry Tee, Lucky Date, BUL!M!ATRON, MissDVS, Von Ukuf, Vodge Diper, Bassive, Virtu, Utku S., Hugs&Drugs, John Bourke of TrashYourself, Patrice Mathieu of NROTB, Jason Taylor, Crystal Fighters, ETC!ETC!, Blu, Stereothieves, and Protohype. They also have kept the dancefloor hot for acts such as Lucky Date, LAZRTAG, DanOH, DJ Scotty Boy, THEM JEANS, Bass Kleph, Armand Van Helden, Dave Aude, and many others. Downlow'd + MAD-SIN are currently in the studio working full-time on original material, but can be expected to start touring at various clubs and festivals starting in mid 2012. With a driving work ethic and a gigantic appetite, the electro-house freight train known as Downlow'd + MAD-SIN is only gaining momentum and can be expected to be taking over any given set of speakers near you... whether it's from the computer, a car stereo, or shaking the club one can be positively sure that with beats this infectious, the producers must be ill.
