Down+Out is Garreth Mc Mullan and The Michael.
They met in spring 2010 at Michael's extremely short-lived illegal warehouse space in downtown Ghent where he threw the raddest parties. So rad even the cops wanted in on the action. Getting better acquainted over the summer in Berlin's crazy underbelly and at the yearly sextravaganza collectively known as the Gentse Feesten they quickly realized -to paraphrase Bogey- it was the beginning of an awesome friendship.
They were welcomed with arms wide open as a duo in the fall of 2010 in which 20 hour marathon sets from the club to the after-party bar were no strange feat, no sir-ee Bob!
Fast forward to winter 2011 when they decided to begin throwing parties themselves because of the void in Ghent nightlife, which once had been held in such high regard. Firm believers of the DIY principle, they would rather do something about it than just sit on their asses. They just had to do it, there was... No Way Back.
