This is the very first song I wrote for my wife. It tells the story of lovers who must part for a while due to circumstance.

In my bed you softly sleep
    Head on my arm
And through your dream you softly sigh
In a few hours it will be dawn
    And you'll be gone
    On that west bound bus
    Waving goodbye

But don't you worry there's no reason
    Just drop a line
    I have a photograph
    That I keep of you
    To remind me of you
    So I'll be fine

    chorus:
And if I could I'd never leave you
And if we could then together away we would fly
    But that bus is loading
    No long goodbyes
    I'll be fine

And so I'll await the summer days
    When you'll return
To continue what's already been begun
But as the eastern sky turns red
    You lift your head
And gaze wistfully into the morning sun

But when you board that bus remember
    It's not goodbye
    It's so long for now
    I love you still
    Of course I will
    I'll be fine

    chorus:
And if I could I'd never leave you
And if we could then together away we would fly
    But that bus is loading
    No time to cry
    I'll be fine

But don't you worry there's no reason
    Just drop a line
    I have a photograph
    It looks just like you
And it reminds me of you
    So I'll be fine
