Underage, dancing with strangers hidden in the crowd
Lost to the hum of the droning beat bounced off bodies trance like
Fluid in movement, trapped in the push and pull of the swaying masses
Just starting to feel the effects of the shots passed from sweet brave hands
Convincing me I dance really good
Taking a trip to the parking lot
Looking for some chemical inspiration in trunk of a blue sedan
Three girls in one stall splitting the treats
Between us all
An early Christmas gift guaranteed to bring joy
Traveling to an unknown destination
The world spinning and speeding and slightly nauseous
Breathing through the gateway to another universe never traveled before
Entered on the whitest softest carpet
Like the cottony puffs of cloud essence but weight baring
I could stay here and dream forever
Surely this is what it feels like to walk on the moon, weight less and carefree
Certain I am twenty pounds lighter due to the easy bounce steps
And twenty times happier
Alcohol has never felt like this before
Moving faster through time and space
Speaking at a rapid pace
Magically transported to another place
A place with alive with black light and day glow
A constant beat not so slow
And up and back and up and back and sit and stand and sit and dance and dance and dance
Laughing as the walls around me breathe with the same rhythm and resonance of my own heart beat
And I look down and my shoes are so far away from me and the ground moves in waves beneath me and my knees may hit my chin with my next step.
Every person here sitting on the stage, heads moving all in the same side to side manner and in perfect time with each other.
Watching the lone dancer now whose body it seems is locked in perpetual baseline flow
Well into the wee hours of morning light up all night time stands still
Who knew happiness could come in a little white pill?

@bopster: Thanks man! Many synth tracks built these undertones, gave me a headache at mastering to not have a too muddy sound

@MrGladstone: Thanks Tom, your comment really makes me proud! I am happy to take you back without a pill ;-) I like doing songs with spoken words, especially if you have a poet like Stephanie who can narrate in such a rhytmic way, it's an easy task. Thanks for the fav!

Im blown away by this mate. The music reminds me of proper underground Techno parties I used to frequent. I never would have imagined that you could combine it with spoken word like this to such great effect, but you have done it incredibly well. You've made something pretty interesting here I think. Easy fav.

@Mike J Dayton: cheers Mike, that's a big compliment if the track takes you back. Stephanies poems are so vivid, that one has at once pictures in the head. I am glad I could back it up with music!

@Frent Fonder: Thanks Jeremy, what a great comment. I don't really deserve it, 'cause I didn't dive very deep into the apps neither. And for tipps and hints - the SoundCloud IOS community is such a great place, without these folks I would have never been able to do this track!

@Michaelw: Thanks Michael, glad you like it! It was actually quite easy, first time I heard Stephanies poem last summer I knew already how this should be "translated" into a dancefloor belter. I just had to learn the technique ;-) BTW, I may come back to you for a SynthTronica tutorial how to use it with the ipad mic as a vocoder. My first attempts are...
