I was abandoned
in a pile of beers
i'd like to think that i was
mentally there
but you left me
which signifies something else
i just did the thing that i do
and that thing i do is being
myself

I woke up startled
in a sticky stain
My hair and clothes were all in
serious disarray
i tried collecting
bits and pieces of myself
i think i managed to find everything
that constitues me except perhaps my booze

I tried to walk out
quiet as a mouse
hoping not to wake up my hosts
where i had passed out
but i tripped on
my very own stupidity
there were flying cans and food
and bottles and trash and cigarette butts everywhere

At this point i was
ready to give up
my clothes were totally covered
in that liquid i love
but from the good side
at least i had not shit my pants
so in the end i thought that after all it had been a really nice night
