Sunderland born and bred musician and producer Phil Nixon is the fella behind the unique sounds of Dopedemand.
Quirky downbeat, where hip hop met turntablism and they brought a vocalist too. Dopedemand takes you back to those days without sounding too dated. If you're kind of into how hip hop used to be, enjoy a bit of cut and paste sample action, smooth grooves and multi genre mashing Juiciness than BAZINGA!
Dopedemand scrounges and scrapes the 'freely' available over the 'net' samples that no one wants to use... or cant be arsed to...Magic is made, along with his home-brew softsynths & some quirkysynthtastic shnizzle
An early pioneer of digital audio using 4 channel sample based syntheses for videogame industry around 1989 - 92 on the Commodore Amiga
Dopedemand also began writing personal & commercial music around the same time, sequencing using Cubase & an Atari ST ....roll on a few years & here we are...A knackered old PC, crippled with performance issues and constant crashes. :)
