Russell Gaskins III has had music on his mind since he first picked up the drumsticks at the age of 6. In 2003 he got his first copy of FL Studio and began studying production software and making beat music. In 2004 Russell decided that he wanted to make girls drop it like its hot and started djing. Shortly after, he started to produce heavy Drum and Bass music under the name of SigHnature. He quickly started getting plays from many Drum and Bass DJs such as, Prolific, Spektrum, Sinner Inside, Mumblz, Titan Zero, Killswitch, and Reid Speed. In 2008 alongside Mumblz, as SigHnature Russell had an all Vinyl release with Foul Play Records titled “Dance You Fuckers”. Unknown to most shortly before this release tragedy struck at a house party, and Russell was struck in the face with a liquor bottle. Having his face, not to mention psyche, battered and bruised, the gangster that had been boiling down deep was awakened. He was slowly drawn to the darker sounds of Dubstep, and thus DOOMBOX was created. He started to create heavily hip-hop influenced dubbed out beats and began to release his dark yet funky sounds. He has since had multiple digital releases under, Betamorph Recordings, Adversion Recordings, Foul Play Records, and CRUNK FUNK MUSIC. On top of that DOOMBOX has opened for the likes of, Caspa, Spor, Dieselboy, j.rabbit, SPL, 6 Blocc, Hulk, Kraddy, Mayhem Liquid Stranger, Antiserum, Evol Intent ,Borgore and many more. The smooth talking, G walking DOOMBOX is now currently co-running the Midwest Dubstep Entertainment and Record Company/Promotional Group,CRUNK FUNK MUSIC with Alex Onofrio, and is being booked through FURTHERSOUND MANAGEMENT owned and operated by Brandon S. Busby. His high energy and crazy antics are sure to get the crowd going wild, and not to mention his heavy wompy thug beats are sure to make them sweat!
