following the invitation of this years´ filmfest münchen to a party dedicated to the lifework of giorgio moroder as a producer and musician, i played a special set of music made in munich during the 70s.
Musicland Studios, Jürgen Koppers, Giorgio, Donna Summer, as well as VC People (alias Klaus Netzle and Manuel Landy) for Sonoton, Reinhold Mack, Jürgen Korduletsch, Keith Forsey, Pete Bellotte, Harald Faltermeyer, Michael Zager, the list is endless.
Munich, the ever conservative "million village" seemed the epicenter for disco and rock stars, at least for a few years through the late 1970s and created a vision in music known as the "sound of munich".
