@Garrett Nothern: Well, using the Beatles as an example, I'm a fan of Revolver and Abbey Road, which my dad used to lend me on vinyl when i was a kid, and am infatuated with individual tracks like Tomorrow Never Knows, Come Together, Why Don't We Do It In The Road? and I'm Only Sleeping, but I've never got round to listening to Rubber Soul yet, for example. I might not have bought their every single on vinyl, but that doesn't take away my appreciation for what I have heard. Then, if I'm honest, I'm not super-fussed about tracks like Hey Jude or Yellow Submarine. And in my view, that's OK. If that upsets you, that's also OK with me. All the best.

@twosilhouettes: You might as well call yourself a Beatles fan and not know what Yellow Submarine is.

@Garrett Nothern: dude, i shouldn't have to point out to such 'a fan of music' like yourself, that 1) you don't have to be aware of every song an artist has recorded, to be a fan of the tracks and albums you have heard; and 2) if being a fan means eating every piece of sweetcorn out of an artist's shit, without being free-thinking enough to be able to criticise three little lines, well count me out, you're the biggest music fan in the world. and mate, course i knew it was The Kills performing it, the name above the track was a bit of a give way, you muppet

@twosilhouettes: You're a "fan" of Velvet Underground but don't know one of their most popular songs? You're a "fan" of the Kills but don't know that this isn't theirs? You're not a fan of music. You should be a fan of pulling your head out of your ass.
