Dirt, Lies & Audio are proud to announce our latest signing – Prime Attack.

    Available here:

You may have seen posts appearing on our Facebook page recently as we’ve been gearing up to attack the airwaves, showcasing the most recent tracks of this talented outfit.
For the purists among you the name may already be familiar, the very first outing was way back in 1992 with a track called “How Many Ravers” which became a rave anthem of the time and was also re-mixed by DJ SS on Formation Records.
David (Billy) Stevens is the force behind Prime Attack with Tim Slater giving artistic support and MC work for recording and live appearances. They have worked with many in the industry, notably:

    • Judge Jules – Serious Records
    • Ruby Red Records/Cleveland City
    • DJ SS – Formation Records/Vicious Vinyl
    • Vinyl Solution – Bizarre Inc
    • Earthworm Records – Label Owners/Producer. Notable releases were “Def Jam” by Wizards on Wax (Speed Garage Anthem), Greatest Dancer by the Nasty Boys (Speed Garage Anthem), Planetize by the Nasty Boys (Lisa Lashes Anthem)
    • Wow Records – Label Owner/Producer. Notable release was “Come Together/ Destiny Disco” by Gemini (Marshall Jefferson Favourite)
    • Darren Bayton – Digital Insomnia Recordings (single releases and Flirt Dance Events joint owners)
    • Nine Records (Chicago) – Released “Outta My Life” by the Rhythm Purists (Stevens/Bayton) Remixed by Brian Jones, Mike Gillenwater & Paul Anthony
    • Digital Jaxx (New York) – Released “Basify” by The Rhythm Purists

The journey has seen Prime Attack progress through musical styles which include Old School Rave, Jungle/ Drum and Bass, speed garage, hard house, electro and funky house however now together with Dirt, Lies & Audio, Prime Attack have gone back to their roots in Drum & Bass. For me, the dreamy, liquid-smooth “Chasing Stars” is a classic in the making but the edgy, fiendishly complicated percussive sound of “Circles” is what’s getting everyone excited. Rumour has it that there’s a video in the making.....and a New Year Club release....!
