As a Teenager Ronald (Zen) was always charmed by electronic music. He enjoyed listening to synthesizer music and dream away of far away places in the universe. Somewhere in 1983 he heard Techno Hop music, hip hop music with mostly 808 beats and synth sounds. He collected more and more records bought himself a simple mixer (1986) and started to mix with casettes and records counting BPM's. It was in the early 90's he finally got himself some descent record players with pitchcontrol. Which was heaven on Earth!

Visiting his first warehouse Acid party in 1989 Zen became attracted and addicted to Techno, Acid & House and the forthcoming lifestyle.
Collecting the best tunes and mixing for fun at home Zen developed very talented skills for djing. His ability of mixing smoothly various styles in a perfect flow impressed friends and many party people.

Soon he grabbed the attention of organizers and promoters and many bookings followed. On the dance floors he managed to create atmospheres of ecstasy and euphoria. A international crowd of lovely people grew around him. The music he played connected perfect to the music played on the beaches of exotic Goa. Zen became dutch pioneer of Goa Trance. A new scene was born!

Since that time Zen has been organizing many clubnigts and parties. Bringing over the most talentfulf artists from all over the world. Having weekly gigs in Amsterdam Zen grabbed international attention. Gigs all around Europe and Israel followed. Sharing the stage with world's famous artsts (Juno Reactor Astral Projection, KoxBox, X-Dream, Hallucinogen, GMS, Tristan, Ticon, Technosommy, Orion, Phoney Orphants, Beat Bizarre, Symphonix just to mention a few). This way he inspired lots of people to play, enjoy and produce psytrance music.

Over all these years many different styles of dance music passed his hands. One style in particular kept his full and special attention: Progressive Trance. A Since 2009 he became member of the Iono Music artist/dj team. In 2010 he started to develop his own production skills after being for some years in various studios of friends (Liftshift).

In his sets you can expect the unexpected! It's always full of surprises with a magical touch. From pumping, atmospheric Psy Trance to deep groovy Progressive Trance. Everytime Zen manages to create a beautiful flow of various atmospheres, grooves and hypnotizing beats. This all combined with smooth and perfect mixing qualities makes him a beloved and respected dj.
