“Mr Wynters” (as he is affectionately known as on the scene) music career kicked off when he was 15 back in the House n Garage scene as an MC. He was on one of leading Pirate radio stations in Birmingham as well as emceeing @ house parties and various underground clubs in & around Birmingham.
As Jayson got older his taste for music began to mature & his music collection began to grow considerably and so in his early 20s Jayson picked up DJing. This all started off at family house parties and initially was spinning Neo Soul & Soulful RnB cuts as this was the crowd to be catered for.
Music has always been apart of Jayson's Life from as long as he could remember. His Dad plays the bass guitar and his mother used to be part of a steel band as well as other family members doing other things geared around music. Jayson started off playing the steel drums following his mother’s footsteps then eventually playing the drums & other percussion instruments during his early youth.
‘House music was responsible for me wanting to pick up DJ’ing on a serious level” Jayson explains it was the genre that allowed him to connect the dots to many other sounds contained within the music that he’d already been exposed to like Hip Hop, RnB, Soul, Jazz, Electronica, Rare Grooves etc.
His ecclectic influences range from Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Nu Soul, Electronica, House, Broken Beats & other various sub genre crossover music
Having been DJing on the Birmingham circuit ‘professionally Jayson has built up a sound reputation as an outgoing unique House DJ as well as promoting the odd events. Having collaborated/supported with the some local/international DJs/Artists in the scene Jayson continues to fuel his passion by reaching out networking and always trying to be that little different from the rest.
These days Jayson has gone back to revisiting his roots of creating music and collaborating with like-minded artists on the circuit.
