About
Woody, as he is fondly known, has in the past five years risen to be one of the main players on the Glasgow DJing circuit. Formerly a club PR, Woody is an avid clubber and it was his love of house music that motivated him to start playing and creating the music he so enjoyed partying to. Currently, Woody is the main resident at Glasgow's busiest weekly club nights, The legendary Liquid Cool Soundsystem @ Common on a Sunday, and the huge Bonsoir at Sugar Cube.
After his successful 2009, where he spent much of his summer midweek's on the island of Ibiza, rocking the legendary Pukka Up boat parties and Es Paradis, 2010 and 2011 shaped up to be his best years yet!
Leading from the front in his three main residencies, a feat few can equal in the cutthroat world of Glasgow clubbing, Woody recently returned from another successful series of gigs in Ibiza, where on top of fantastic sets (again) at the Pukka Up boat parties, he DJ'd a few times at one of the world's best clubs, the legendary Space!
In addition to DJing at every main club in Glasgow, Woody has performed regularly at quite a few top venues in England too, DJing with some of dance music's biggest names. DJs such as Yousef (3 times) Sensu, Sandy Rivera, Simon Dunmore, DJ Spen, Mark Knight and Dennis Ferrer, Prok & Fitch, Utah Saints, James Talk & David Guetta have been witness to the Woody magic, a who's-who list that will grow extensively as Woody's career continues to develop.
The future is looking very bright for Woody. Embracing new technology whenever he can, he's moved onto Traktor to add that extra edge to his sets, whilst continuing to spend as much time as possible in his studio, developing his own 4/4 beats! As DJs come and DJs go, it's the special ones that continue to provide the backbone of dance music's future, a future that Woody will no doubt continue to play a key part in.
