Tom Kat is a bass lover who started attending parties throughout the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles in 1993. Graduating to DJ circa ‘95, he kept DJing on and off for the next couple of years, always finding his way back to what he truly loved the most: Underground Dance Music! Some good friends of his taught him a few basic tips for mixing on Technics 1200's and they even allowed him touch some of their vinyl. They gave him records here and there until he began collecting them on his own. Soon he picked up his own pair of 1200's and a mixer and started DJing at flyer parties and warehouse events throughout the late 90's and early 2000’s. Now a resident DJ at Redlab Radio, Tom Kat can be heard mixing Tech/House, Techno, Minimal, and Breaks every Wednesday and Friday from 7pm to 12am along with the rest of the Redlab Radio residents. He is also a member of Los Angeles’ Teckno Cartel, a group of Techno enthusiasts with a passion for the underground. You can catch Tom Kat and other members of the sonic cartel at various events throughout the year.
