Exposed to the San Francisco HOUSE scene in 1994, Jamie Ayers :aka: DJ Swing wanted to put his own signature on the scene and in early 1995, set out to do just that.
Being influenced early on by Chicago House pioneers Adonis, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina and Cajmere among others, Swing's own sound was developed with the Acid, Tech, Deep, and Funky sounds heard at various underground warehouse parties around San Francisco.
Swing began playing for numerous underground warehouse parties around the bay area and quickly gained a name for himself amongst his peers. This led him to a first out of state booking in the NorthWest opening up for Donald Glaude at the Kitsap Pavilion in Washington. He became a NorthWest favorite and continued to play at various Seattle, Washington venues over the years. He’s played in Honolulu, Hawaii, various Humboldt County venues, and all around the San Francisco Bay Area underground and club scene.
In 1997, Swing got involved with promotions and soon after began throwing his own warehouse events which grew over the years. This gave way to booking and playing alongside talent such as DJ Sneak, JT Donaldson, Fred Everything, DJ Heather, and IZ & DIZ just to name a few.
Still busy as a DJ, look out for future tracks as Swing adds 'Producer' to his name.
