DJ Steampunk was born in the mid 80's in Stuttgart, Germany. Years later he stumbled upon Drum And Bass more or less by coincidence.
But this coincidence soon became one of his major changes in life. Following the call and searching for more, he found his love not only in the music but in the scene. A couple of years later he started DJ'ing and quickly received bookings from north to south Germany. Mashing up tunes in about every style Drum And Bass can offer, he participated in competitions and big events, spreading his own kind of style on the dancefloors. Meanwhile the producer inside broke through. Equipped with a copy of Reason and some headphones he started with producing jumpup and dancefloor tracks. More and more people noticed about his talents and later on Steampunk was discovered by Why So Rotten? Recordings, who released his first track "Yes".
